    Maersk Line orders nine 14,000 TEU container vessels [Jul 2015] Maersk Line signed a new building contract with Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI). The order is for 9 (nine) vessels with a capacity of 14,000 TEU (twenty-foot equivalent) each. The agreement includes an option for up to 8 (eight) additional vessels. The vessels will have a length of 353 meters. The contract has a value of USD 1.1 billion.
    Maersk Line orders 11 ultra-large container vessel [Jun 2015] Maersk Line signed a new building contract with Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME).     Maersk Line orders seven ice-class container vessels [Mar 2015] Maersk Line signed a new building order with COSCO Shipyard Co., Ltd in Zhoushan China. The order is for seven (7) 3,600 TEU (twenty-foot equivalent) container vessels. The vessels will have a length of 200 meters (m), width of 35.2m, and a 10m draft.     Maersk Drilling takes delivery of second drillship [Apr 2014] Maersk Drilling’s second drillship, Maersk Valiant, was delivered Wednesday 16 April 2014 from the Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) shipyard in Geoje-Si, South-Korea.     Maersk Tankers declares two MR options at Sungdong [Feb 2014] Maersk Tankers has declared option for two MR product newbuildings at Sungdong Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering bringing its tally at the yard to six.
